Purpose of the Job:
The Factory Logistics Manager (FLM) links the Supply Chain from the suppliers to manufacturing plant and from manufacturing plant until depots. FLM is responsible for ensuring that the Supply Chain is aligned with customer expectations and ensures manufacturing and suppliers responds to changes in customer demand. He/she is responsible for providing Supply Chain leadership and support to assigned Multi-Functional Manufacturing Team (s) by leveraging our capabilities and expertise as it pertains to supply chain management, processes and systems with our suppliers, manufacturing plant, Comans, warehouse and transport service providers. He/she provides a critical link between Supply Planning and Production and Materials Planning to ensure alignment. He/she generates growth and profitability opportunities by focusing on (i) Total delivered cost, (ii) improve customer service and implement process innovation. He/she contributes to the ongoing development of best practices across the Supply Chain and Manufacturing and Procurement organizations and ensures that collaborative Supply Chain initiatives are agreed, developed and executed with excellence.

Strategic higher level leadership and functional/technical skills are required to support large/complex relationships. More hands on tactical responsibilities may be required and performed by the Supply Chain function such as Vendor Managed Inventory or CPFR where customer size and complexity are limited.

Customer Centric Capability Development:

1. Monitors performance metrics (KPI’s) to understand service and efficiency trends within assigned suppliers and identify opportunities for improvement. Shares performance information with the Team and suppliers to develop collaborative approaches to correct inefficient behaviors or fix system disconnects.
2. Coordinates cross-functional work teams to eliminate root causes of supply chain inefficiency and Out of Stocks (OOS) – by evaluating Depot point of sale data.
3. Leads business execution of new programs and initiatives including but not limited to: promotional activities, new product launches, product flow planning, and network changes/redesigns.
4. Leads implementation of value added services such as CPFR, VMI, EDI etc.
5. Actively participates in ‘Production and Materials planning” both internal and with the suppliers to ensure execution of fulfillment plan by Cadbury at the lowest total delivered cost. Closely works with Mfg. Managers, Category supply planners and Buyers respectively to insure that optimum customer service, distribution, speed to shelf, and promotional activity that is expected by the customers can and will be achieved.
6. Leverages information from business tools, account plans, and information systems to generate a depot level plan. Collaborates with the entire supply chain team and the customer to improve customer service, distribution, and promotional activity.
7. Effectively manages data flow, communication and processes associated with new and transitioning SKU’s, material status (e.g.SLOB, Discontinued)
8. Interfaces with Finance to and partners to minimize average days of Inventory and inventory obsolescence cost
9. Works closely with the Category planners to optimize a “Cost to Serve” model between Plant and depot and drive Go Direct mode of replenishment between plant and depots.
10. To jointly own with Logistics Development the logistics capability of the Plant, TPOs in terms of cold chain, warehousing and distribution.
11. To build sustainable business relationship with all suppliers and ensure supplier satisfaction. Visit a given set of suppliers regularly as per agreed plan
12. Ensure TPM implementation at all warehouses.
13. Facilitate the monthly audit of quantity and age of physical stocks at warehouses and drive / train the distributor warehouse team on FIFO.
14. Drive Rail transportation for all categories

Selection Criteria (Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge)

• Post Graduate in Management / Indl. Engg.
• Should have worked in CS&L, Mfg,
• 7-9 years FMCG sales / distribution / planning experience
• Experience in Designing and implementing Distribution network, Route planning and Warehouse management
